Dominican Republic Mountains North Coast Adventure
October 19th to October 26th 2024
Hola 👋🏼 I'm Flavia, your host for this amazing trip throughout the Dominican Republic. I'm a First Gen Peruvian American solo traveler and the travel blogger behind Latina Traveler. My travels and tips are all around unique experiences, secondary cities, and immersing myself in the culture all from the perspective of a Latina. So far I've traveled to over 38 countries and have lived in six. For a while now it's been mi sueño (my dream) to travel with my community as well as other like minded travelers. And that's why I invite you to travel with me! We'll be going beyond the typical DR spots to really get a feel for the country and what else it has to offer. During this time we'll also get to know each other and everyone in the group to leave with new amigas and a whole new network. Can't wait to see you on la isla!

Arrival Day | October 19th | Welcome to the Dominican Republic!
We’ll arrive in Santo Domingo and spend our first night in the Colonial Zone, a historic walled quarter of the city with famed food and music. After we’ve freshened up, we’ll take a guided walking tour or wander on our own with some recommendations from our team - what a lovely introduction to Dominican culture and hot island weather. Bienvenidos!
Lodging: Santo Domingo, 1 night
Day Two| October 20th | Horseback riding in Jarabacoa
It’s time to head to the mountains! We’ll drive to Jarabacoa and settle into our eco-lodge nestled in the heart of the “Dominican Alps”. Jarabacoa is known as “the land of eternal spring” because of its temperate climate and fertile land. A great portion of the agriculture of the Dominican Republic finds its home here. After a typical Dominican lunch at our eco lodge, we’ll ride horses to Salto Baiguate, an 82 foot waterfall surrounded by nature. The ride will take us through lush vegetation, tropical surroundings and villages where we can see some aspects of Dominican culture. After taking a refreshing bath at the Baiguate Waterfall, pass by La Melaza and enjoy some fresh fruit smoothies at this great local spot.
Lodging: Jarabacoa, 2 nights (All meals included)
Day Three | October 21st | White water rafting at Yaque del Norte
After breakfast at the lodge, we’ll hop on a raft and ride down the cool waters of the Yaque del Norte, the longest river in the Caribbean. In the company of professional guides, we will go through canyons and rapids while enjoying breathtaking views. Feel the excitement as you go down some of the most impressive rapids in the country!
Lodging: Jarabacoa (All meals included)
Day Four | October 22nd | Waterfalls and Beaches
Now that we’ve had a chance to spend time in the mountains, we’ll head down to the north coast after breakfast. Get ready to enjoy an adventure packed day! This area is known for its majestic coast and gorgeous beaches. Stop along the way to take advantage of 27 Charcos, a collection of waterfalls that we can jump, slide, and rappel down. Have lunch near the waterfalls before continuing our journey to the beach town of Cabarete, famous for windsurfing. Settle into your hotel right on the coast for a peaceful evening.
Lodging: Cabarete (All meals included) , 3 nights
Day Five | October 23rd | Beach Time
Today is all about the ocean. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a full day catamaran excursion with beachside lunch and an opportunity to go snorkeling. After a full day of fun in the sun, we’ll return to our hotel for dinner on your own with recommendations provided.
Lodging: Cabarete (Breakfast & Lunch Included)
Day Six | October 24th | Choose your own adventure
